IBT College based in Toronto is actively seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) or a Registered Nurse (RN) to teach a healthcare provider program. Experience in r home care is required. The program is taught online. It is a part-time teaching position in the morning from 9:30am to 1:30pm, Monday to Friday.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
Academic
- Ensure students are being taught in accordance with approved curriculum
- Familiarity with online instruction and Google Classroom is an assist
- Some of the Academic topics include: Nutrition and Meal Planning, Anatomy and Physiology, Health and Safety, Person-Centred Care.
Administrative
- Assist with tracking student hours in accordance with college procedures
- Implement and follow the policies and procedures established by the College
- Participate in meetings with staff when required
- Participate in student orientations
- Maintain proper records of student meetings
- Submit monthly reports to the program coordinator
Instructional
- Teach students using a systematic plan that consists of lectures, demonstrations, discussion groups, interactive activities, independent and group projects
- Ensure all course objectives and modules are taught according to the program schedules
- Establish an appropriate atmosphere in the classroom which is conducive to learning
- Regularly monitor student progress and adjust courses accordingly
- Base the evaluation of students on the guidelines established by the College
- Keep accurate and complete records of student performance
- Prepare final examinations in accordance with guidelines established on the course outline
- Provide timely feedback to students regarding academic progress
Qualifications
Licensed Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse
Teaching experience is required
Working Conditions
- Position location: Remote, Online
- Expected Hours of work: 20-25 hours per week
Compensation
- To be discussed, based on teaching experience and practical experience.
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week
Salary: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
