ABOUT THE ROLE:
Reporting to the VP, Operations, the Director, Production is responsible for overseeing all of the Manufacturing processes at Rocky Mountain Soap. With the overall goal of creating a happy, engaged and motivated production team to produce products that meet our quality specifications 100% of the time, continually improving efficiency and meeting our OOS of stock targets of zero while hitting the departmental budget.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position works from our Canmore, Alberta workshop
Direct, manage and monitor the overall performance of production to increase efficiency and maximize performance and profit
Oversee the Production Planning to ensure that production output meets the forecasted sales requirements
Ensure the Health and Safety of all team members through RMSC policies and procedures adherence
Lead and oversee the GMP and NHP processes throughout the production facilities
Direct, manage and maintain relationships with internal and external clients/customers
Control expenses to meet agreed budgetary control
Compliance with legal/statutory requirements, professional duties, and other obligations including Health and Safety, GMP, etc.
Provide development and growth opportunities for Production team members
Actively participate in Senior Leadership Team decisions, and partner with other leaders to create a sense of unity and alignment around strategic priorities
Other duties as assigned
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
8+ years of experience as a Senior level Production Manager within a Cosmetic GMP environment
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Engineering or a related field would be considered a strong asset
Organization and attention to detail are necessary for this role
Problem-solving abilities and conflict management
Must have experience with managing employees with proven ability to create an engaged and motivated team
Proven ability to manage departmental budgets
