Here’s how we work:
The Vancouver office is hiring a Project Accountant to join the Finance team. The current team is made of 6 accounting professionals all working towards a common goal. The work environment can be fast paced with multiple weekly and monthly deadlines.
Our teams are currently working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic and will be for the foreseeable future. We are following the provincial procedures before considering returning to the office. On a weekly basis, managers have touch base meetings with their teams to discuss the progress of projects or any issues that they have encountered. We continue to emphasize wellness for all our team members and have added to our comprehensive list of benefits to support this further
Most of the things you’ll work on:
Project Accounting
Prepare, draft, finalize invoices on a timely basis
Follow-up on outstanding receivables
Coordinate with Project Managers to resolve outstanding invoice issues
Respond to client inquiries regarding issues with invoices and collections
Prepare schedules as required by the client or project manager
Prepare PST filing
Assist with regular audit requirements
Assist with ad-hoc analysis and reports as required
Filing accounting documents
Qualifications
You’ll need to have:
A diploma or degree in accounting
Minimum two years of general accounting and billings experience, preferably in a similar consulting environment
ERP experience would be preferred
General administrative experience
Must be able to effectively communicate, both written and verbal, and resolve client/vendor issues
Must possess excellent organizational skills and be very detail-oriented
Must have strong MS Office skills (Excel and Word)
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff
Ability to work well independently with minimum supervision and in a team environment
Demonstrates ability to work in a multi-tasked, fast-paced and changing environment
