The incumbent will employ professional Critical Care Life Support skills to provide pre-hospital and inter-facility treatment and transportation to the general population. Evaluates the patient’s clinical condition and performs detailed assessments in order to establish a treatment plan in support of optimal patient care. Works in environments where there is no medical support and where transport times routinely exceed four hours.

Essential Qualifications
Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the following qualifications. Please note that selection for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.
Current CCP/ACP license or certification with a paramedic governing body in Canada without conditions or restrictions;
Experience delivering pre-hospital emergency care at the Advanced Life Support (ALS) level;
Experience working as a CCP/ACP in an ALS setting as the lead practitioner;
Experience liaising with outside agencies to deliver emergency care;
Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.

Tact and diplomacy; and
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Additional Information
Conditions of Employment: Medical clearance, security clearance including vulnerable sector check, valid Yukon class 4 driver’s licence, baseline hearing test, maintaining current CCP and or ACP certification.
Job Requirements: Shift work, including weekends and standby, wearing a uniform and maintaining all conditions of employment.
