What you will be doing:
Review all requests for credit and approve according to Accor policy
Accurate and timely processing of all advance deposits
Attend the Pre-Convention Meetings and ensure that the credit needs of the Meeting Planner are satisfied
Review the Master Account with the Conference Service Manager and Meeting Planner prior to departure
Ensure all billing is accurately prepared, clearly presented and mailed within three (3) business days, followed by a phone call
Ensure that all inquiries are investigated promptly and if possible, resolved within 48 hours
Work with Front Office Management to ensure proper maintenance of the Guest Ledger
Maintain the aged trial balance with adequate descriptions and separate the accounts by coding such as credit cards, direct bill, advance deposits, returned checks, etc…
Review all contracts and cancellations to ensure that attrition or cancellation fees are collected
Assist with CC chargeback and CC inquires
Actively participate in the Credit Committee and organize the monthly meetings
Review with the DOF on a weekly basis: City Ledger, Guest Ledger, Advance Deposits and any issues
Maintain excellent communication with Sales, Catering, Front Office and all F&B Departments
Follow and enforce the guidelines and procedures as set forth in the Accor’s Finance and Accounting Policies and Procedures Manual. Any exception to the manual must be documented in an LSOP and approved by the DOF
Assist in improving JD Power scores, particularly in the Meeting Planner Satisfaction results
Prepare various month end reports and journal entries, including A/R Recap, 60-90-120 Detail and Action Steps, Advance Deposit Recap and Credit Status Recap
Your experience and skills include:
Previous experience as a Credit Manager in an active and supervisory role
Excellent knowledge of Excel & Word preferred
Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Experience in collecting many large non-corporate accounts
Willing to work as part of a team with a focus on service and organization
Strong desire to succeed in a challenging environment
Previous Front Office system conversion and/or hotel experience is an asset
