Summary: Tracks, manages, and improves incoming & outgoing materials by performing the following duties. Arrange all land, air and ocean freight creating all required documents ensuring safe passage of deliveries through customs to all exporting countries .

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.

Examines incoming shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.

Maintains inventory of incoming materials and supplies.

Tracks and improves inventory levels for pallets and packing supplies.

Audits and resolves reporting errors on pallet consumption

Daily review of customer orders ensuring their orders flow seamlessly to the transportation providers TMS and ensures they are being shipped within a timely fashion. Takes corrective action as required.

Measures and monitors transportation providers KPIs to ensure on-time deliveries.

Responsible for ensuring delivery creation, picking pallets, shipment creation, maximizing the weight and cube of ocean containers keeping in mind customer delivery requirements. Making sure that deliveries are scheduled to meet the customer delivery requirement and confirmed delivery date in SAP.

Coordinates contact with plant logistics, customer service, credit departments, and freight forwarders’ to provide best service and meet the requirements of our customers and provide them with exceptional value.

Contributes towards reducing freight costs while meeting customer on-time delivery expectations.

Job Skill Requirements:
Highly self-motivated individual focused and driven to provide customer service.

Demonstrated ERP skills for problem solving and resolution techniques to dispatch material

Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

Ability to maintain company service goals and objectives to ship customer orders on-time.

Strong communication and follow-up skills working with land, air and ocean carriers, freight forwarders, CSR’s, Credit, Customer’s and Plant Logistics departments to meet shipping deadlines.

Working knowledge of documentation requirements for importing & exporting countries

Computer proficiency on ERP systems with dispatching and shipping process, and freight costs.

Education and/or Experience:
3 to 5 years related experience.

Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Inventory software; Manufacturing software; Order processing systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
