Site: Fort Hills
Schedule: 14×7- 12 hours (paid for 11.5 hours) (Days and nights)
Accommodations: Camp provided
Transportation: Flights are provided to and from Edmonton or Calgary. Bussing provided from Fort McMurray to site (before and after shifts)
Overtime: Provided after 8 hours a day or 44 hours a week
Hourly Rate: Up to $51.56 per hour
Suncor Incentive Pay: $75/ day paid out at the end of every month
The successful candidate will be required to join the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 955.
Qualifications:
Must have previous experience operating large excavators (890 or equivalent)
Ditching pond experience on wet ground with muskeg required
Finishing experience preferred
Familiar and comfortable working in a production environment
Attentive and have good listening skills
High school diploma, GED, and/or post-secondary education is considered an asset.
Summary:
All successful candidates must:
Be proficient in English, both verbally and written
Have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License
Have experience as requested as mentioned above
Subject to Random Testing at: Suncor, Suncor Fort Hills and Kearl sites
Undergo and successfully pass the following testing:
Breath Alcohol Test
Urine Drug Test
Fitness-to-Work Assessment
Audiometric Testing
Vision Screening
Criminal Record Check
Shift, site, and start times are subject to change.
All successful candidates MUST provide the following items prior to confirmation of their start date:
CSO or BSO Certification
Copy of Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
Copy of recent Driver’s Abstract
VOID cheque/direct deposit form
Silica Awareness
Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness
Once dispatched the following processes will occur:
Will receive a call from NACG to set up all required pre-employment testing
An email will be sent with all required New Hire Paperwork to be filled out
After all results are received by NACG candidates will be contacted by Site Admin to schedule orientation and confirm your start date and other site specific details.
