Primary Responsibilities*
- Recruitment activities, including creating job postings, interview guides, and job descriptions. Posting job advertisements. Conducting pre-screens, interviews, and reference checks.
- Assist with onboarding, including preparing new hire packages, completing new hire documents & checklists.
- Assist with offboarding.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and complete personnel records.
- Collaborate with internal departments to advise on employee changes, as necessary.
- Draft memoranda, correspondence, and other employment documentation.
- Maintain human resources information and related records systems in compliance with applicable legislation.
- Stay abreast on compliance requirements and industry best practices.
- Present a positive and professional image of the organization when interacting with employees, clients/customers, visitors, and other external stakeholders.
- Assist with employee engagement activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
- Superior written and oral communication skills, including professional email etiquette.
- Exceptional organization and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Flexible and adaptable to work in a diverse and fast paced environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Knowledge of applicable employment legislation, and the ability to read and interpret legislation.
- Strong sense of ethics and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality in all interactions.
Education and Experience
- Degree or diploma in Human Resources, Human Resources Management, Business Administration with an HR major, or a related Bachelor with a Human Resources major is required. New graduates or soon to be graduates are welcome to apply.
- Minimum 2 years of customer service experience is an asset.
- Minimum 1 year of administration experience is an asset.
