JOB OVERVIEW
LEP is seeking dynamic and result-driven self starters currently enrolled in post secondary program to join our team in the role of Summer Student, Finance. LEP’s Operations strategy aims to pursue innovative commercial growth opportunities by providing inspection, engineering, and other services to the low carbon energy industry.
Our Finance Team manages the performance and risk profile of Laurentis, ensuring the needs of stakeholders and employees are balanced with long-term success. The team works closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop and execute plans that help the company achieve its strategic objectives and ensure financial sustainability. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Assist with preparation of month end schedules such as monthly bank reconciliations
Assist with preparation of monthly reporting packages
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
Maintain financial records with guidance and instruction from senior accounting staff
Maintain and update a variety of documentation required for business governance
Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
Pursuing post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance or business commerce.
SKILLS and COMPETENCIES
Pursuing post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance or business commerce.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)
Able to manage changing priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently
Possesses good communications skills, problem solving skills and is detail oriented
A self-starter with a can-do attitude and an eagerness to learn
Knowledge of PowerBI to analyze and visualize core metrics through reports and interactive dashboards will be considered asset.
