The primary focus of the Senior Analyst is to partner with executive team members across the company to provide timely, fact-based, data-driven decision support to help drive critical decisions.
The candidate will be responsible for conducting bottom-up research and analysis on acquisition targets, covering operational, financial and industry aspects. The individual must be highly analytical and well-versed in financial statement analysis and a natural curiosity and professional skepticism. Successful candidates should have some investment experience and a passion for capital allocation.

What your day will look like:
Conduct acquisition due diligence/investment research.
Build financial models and analyze the unit economics of a software business.
Prepare questions and participate in management interviews to understand the targets.
Support the Business Transformation team in managing the due diligence process and help prepare for investment committee meeting.
Help establish the post-merger playbook.
Actively participate in annual budget and monthly trending processes.
Providing guidance on timelines, overall financial assumptions and track revenue and expenses providing regular updates to concerned parties.
Work closely with Sales and Operations teams to identify annual targets that reflect the strategic direction of the business area.
Coordinate, analyze and execute monthly financial reviews, in accordance with Finance’s reporting calendar; providing final update to COO and CEO.
Initial “go-to” finance reference within the operations team; acting as a strategic partner within the function and guide decision making via various analysis.
Connect operational and sales elements with financial results and projections, to fully understand performance impacts and engage concerned parties to ensure that the right operational decisions are driving the appropriate financial performance.
Participate in strategic and high impact initiatives to drive value creation.
About You:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting.
Minimum 4 years of experience in Finance, investment research and/or capital markets setting and Operational FP&A strongly preferred.
Software Industry experience is a plus, as is a CPA and audit experience.
Possess high-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills.
Must be familiar with reporting systems (NetSuite is a plus).
Ability to learn and master new tools in a fast-paced environment.
Exude a professional attitude; be courteous, friendly, exceptionally organized, and willing to take initiative.
Ability to create a working financial model using data provided by the target to discern the return potential of acquisitions.
Strong quantitative background and analytical skills and strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
Team player.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to carry high-level, professional conversations with business owners and executives.
Must be a Canadian Citizens or a Permanent Resident.
