You will be working with a growing team of customer-centric professionals who are skilled to perform a variety of managed services ranging from logistics tasks to scientific support roles. What will you do?
You will serve as the first point of contact for the Shipping, Surplus Asset Management and Inventory Management program to help our clients focus on research. You will also provide cross-coverage in receiving, chemical management and glassware/autoclave services for the site as needed. You will promote a safe and constantly improving work environment by participating in site safety programs, cost savings analyses, and process improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Shipping: align with IATA/TDG guidelines to package biological and non-biological materials for shipment, prepare vital shipping documents and record metrics, manage dry ice inventory
Surplus Asset Management: determine the proper channel of disposition for unwanted assets, which includes a donation to non-profit organizations, redeployment (repurpose), sale (auction) or recycling, and coordinate removal from the site.
Inventory Management: order lab consumables and general office supplies, maintenance of stockroom locations, perform replenishments and other stockroom duties according to customer requirements
Receiving: receive and store biological samples in appropriate temperature locations, handle dry ice, and collapse or recycle packaging material as needed
Capture and report job-specific metrics to the Site Supervisor and maintain good record-keeping

Requirements:
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required
BA/BS degree or a four-year college degree in a relevant field preferred
Experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Detail-oriented, problem solver, organized, promotes a collaborative workplace
Must possess a customer-centric mentality and the interpersonal skills to deal with various levels of personnel
Must be responsible, follow instructions well, and take ownership of one’s work
Capable of optimal time management to prioritize own work and meet business efficiency metrics
Proficient with Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Capable of lifting, pushing and/or pulling 30-40 lbs consistently; may be required to lift 50 lbs
