Job Responsibilities
- Produce and maintain survey plans, industrial plans, civil plans, photo mosaics, record drawings and the collection, analysis, storage, distribution and application of spatial and three-dimensional data used in land development.
- An understanding of CAD requirements on various surveying projects.
- Ensure that assignment requirements are understood and what the time allocations are to complete the assigned tasks.
- Self-check assignments prior to drawings being given to the CAD Team Lead for final approval.
- Adhere to current CAD standards and provide feedback as required.
- Adhere to the use of current departmental check sheets and work flow procedures.
- Ensure drawings meet client timelines and deliverables.
- Prepare files, maps and data for survey projects.
- Assist with records management, data loading and quality assurance.
- Review historical surveying records and archive them according to classification standards.
- Adhere to the safety requirements of the GeoVerra Safety program.

Qualifications*
- Enrolled in a Diploma or Degree in Geomatics Engineering Technology, Engineering Design & Drafting Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or related discipline.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel).
- Knowledge and understanding of surveying and mapping in transportation would be considered an asset.
- Experience using ArcGIS, AutoCAD and MicroStation will also be considered assets.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and work as part of a team.
- Well developed analytical and problem-solving abilities along with demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Pre-Employment Requirements:
- Must be currently enrolled in school on a full-time basis with the intent to return to school full-time in the Fall of 2023.
