Matrix IT Looking for Junior Cybersecurity Analyst at Ottawa, ON Full Time

MatrixIT is experiencing massive growth in the IT support space and we’re looking for a couple more dynamic individuals to join our team and help our customers!

We’re looking for a Junior Cybersecurity Analyst.

Qualifications;

• Strong customer service skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• High school diploma and college or university enrollment/degree
• 1 to 3 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Performs a variety of complicated tasks
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Ability to effectively and efficiently troubleshoot technical problems
• Good analytical skills
• Knowledge of computer and printer hardware
• Ability to thoroughly document troubleshooting steps and resolutions
• Be resourceful and able to take initiative in a dynamic environment
• Willingness to step up to a challenge
• Ability to work flexible hours to support the businesses needs
• Ability to analyze and repair hardware; must know basic software configurations
• Must have own vehicle and insurance. Mileage is paid

Required Experience:

• 1-3 Years Experience in Penetration Testing (Internal and External)
• 1-3 Years Experience running Phishing Campaigns
• 1-3 Years Experience Experience conducting safety and/or security risk assessments
• 1-3 Years Experience in information systems technology in a security role
• 1-3 Years Experience in Networking analysis and networking fundamentals

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Penterra Penetration Testing Suite
• Experience with Vulnerability Management solutions like Rapid7 or Tenable/Nessus

Please note this is a local position and requires a physical presence in Ottawa. Remote work is not available for this position as it requires on site work to be completed.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $40,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
