POSITION PROFILE
We are looking for self-motivated applicants who pay close attention to detail and have the desire to learn and grow in a fast paced environment. The Electrician will ensure that all electrical power needs for operations and the facility are in working order.
Required Skills
Ensure all electrical power needs for operations and the facility are in working order.
Maintain and repair facility lighting and electrical systems
Assist in planning repairs and installations within the facility
Evaluate through inspection electrical equipment to ensure efficient operation, and compliance to Electrical Safety Authority guidelines.
Install power distribution systems for new machines.
Install wiring, conduit, and electrical components within the facility
Repair, install and troubleshoot CNC and other numerically controlled industrial machines
Able to evaluate, prepare and execute personal preventative and predictive maintenance schedules
Troubleshooting/repairing/installing of wood processing equipment with a working knowledge of PLC’s, VFD’s, Servos, electrical schematics, etc. to allow efficient repair/replacement
Plan, organize & perform assigned tasks in sequence with minimum supervision & direction
Identify and report hazards and fulfill all Health & Safety, WHMIS, MSDS, and company policy requirements
Become an active participant & contributor to the continuous improvement process at Knoll
Must be able to support and work at Metals facility as required (Located in Woodbridge)
Follow shop floor controls
Ability to read and follow work instruction
Perform required quality inspections
Ability to work in a team environment
Able to take the initiative to solve problems, where appropriate
Must be willing to cross-train in various areas of the department as required
Follow all Knoll safety policies and procedures
Participate and maintain 5S TPM and LOTO in the workplace
Maintain and follow the ISO standard operating procedures
Ability to work in a multi-shift environment including flexible hours and weekends
Participate in and contribute to the continuous improvement process
Required Experience
Licensed Industrial Electrician (Red Seal #442A), certified to work in Ontario
High School diploma or equivalent
Must be able to communicate in English (both oral and written)
