Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma required. Diploma in Building Construction and / or Architectural/Engineering Technology desired. Any Journeyman Certificate. 3rd Class Power Engineering Certificate or higher. Minimum 3 years of related Project Coordination or similar experience in a large hospital environment.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Knowledge and understanding of the construction industry practices and processes. Ability to interpret construction drawings and construction specifications. Ability to apply Occupational Health and Safety and Infection Control rules and regulations. Ability to plan, schedule and coordinate activities. Must have good interpersonal skills and be adept at communicating with program leads, site administration, project leads, contractors, and vendors on a professional and technical level. Must be well organized and able to prioritize requirements from various projects dynamically. Familiar with Health Care programs and knowledge of basic clinical procedures and terminology. Must have an understanding of building systems on a technical level and how they interact with clinical needs. Strong computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Member of Association of Science and Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta (ASET) desired. Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) desired. Valid driver’s license preferred. Related post secondary education in hospital facilities operation or similar an asset.
