What is the opportunity?*

We’re building a next-generation monetization studio to help banks compose and launch differentiated propositions. Reporting to the SVP Analytics, the Product Architect will be responsible for defining, designing, and building the product. The Product Architect will collaborate with the platform architecture team for the definition and adoption of the appropriate design patterns.

This role is technical and involves hands-on software development. The successful candidate will be passionate about software architecture, and the design of data-intensive applications.

What will you do?

• Design and build the API and cloud services for the Personalized Offers platform
• Understand the product vision and contribute to the product roadmap, especially for non-functional requirements
• Develop solution design in collaboration with the platform architecture team, with a focus on non-functional requirements such as performance and security.
• Champion clean architecture and best practices for: security, reliability, performance efficiency and cost optimization.
• Work with architects and engineers across Zafin to design an interoperable product
• Leverage the Zafin platform stack, and where required, build new services from the ground up
• Perform code reviews and make recommendations to refactor where required so the code is maintainable and ‘clean’
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to engineers on the product team
• Work with peers in Cloud Operations to implement fixes for any potential bottlenecks or defects.

What do I need to succeed?
Must have:

• 8+ years of software engineering, preferably with data-intensive applications.
• Proficiency in modern object-oriented programming and domain-driven design.
• Experience with Golang or Java, and application development frameworks (such as Spring Boot for Java)
• Schema and database design expertise for data-intensive applications.
• Ability to empathize with the end-user and think from their perspective to build user experiences that delight
• Experience with building products that follow cloud-native architecture principles (including cloud infrastructure, automation, and security design)

• Experience practicing and prioritizing clean architecture
• Strong understanding of event-driven architectures

Behavior skills:

• Clear and concise verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of an organization
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster team collaboration.
• Ability to work across multiple products and manage competing responsibilities simultaneously.

Nice to have:

• Experience with streaming technologies such as Kafka, Pulsar and Flink
