Triumph Group of Companies Looking for Small Engine and Equipment Mechanic at Mississauga, ON Full Time

Responsibilities:
Operate and inspect tools/machines/vehicles in order to diagnose defects and determine required repairs.

Perform all duties in compliance with all policies, procedures and safety regulations

Perform routine maintenance on equipment/tools/vehicles

Repair and replace damaged or worn parts

Have experience in mechanical, welding, electrical repairs

Adjust, repair or replace mechanical or electrical system parts and components using hand tools and equipment

Test and adjust repaired equipment for proper performance

Perform scheduled maintenance service on equipment

Review work orders and discuss work to be performed with supervisor

Inspect and test engine, motors and other mechanical components using test devices to diagnose and isolate faults

Determine estimates of repair cost

Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs to municipal equipment in order to ensure that the equipment is available, reliable and safe to operate

Maintain safe working conditions and adhere to occupational health and safety regulations

Other mechanical repair work as required

Requirements:
Attention to detail and Hand-eye co-ordination

Proven mechanical abilities in gas and diesel automotive repairs

Experience with routine maintenance operations

Ability to work independently in a busy environment

Possess a valid drivers license

Completion of a program in small engine or equipment repair is a plus

A combination of work experience in the trade and some high school or college courses in small engine or equipment is a plus

G driver’s licence with a clean abstract is required

MS Office (Word, Excel, E-mail) is a plus

Completion of secondary school or equivalent experience
