About the role
Manage a team and serve as a Finance partner to Operating Staff with timely and relevant reporting and analysis that drives the most informed business decisions. Provide analysis, insights and recommendations that drive profitability, mitigate risks and offer solutions to business problems.
Roles & responsibilities
Supervise finance team of 2 analysts
Assess and evaluate financial performance of manufacturing operation with regard to long-term operational goals, budgets and forecasts
Lead monthly financial actual, forecast, and annual budget / long-term plans consolidation, reporting, variance analysis, and added business performance insights
Analyze overall business performance, collaborate with business functions to define potential optimizations. Evaluate business cases for future production expansion. Assess actual performance of approved projects vs. projected KPIs
Product line profitability analysis, collaborate with product line & sales teams to optimize overall profitability
Review and ensure application of appropriate internal controls, SOX compliance and financial policies & procedures
Maintain outstanding relationships with business partners
Lead by example displaying GM behaviors, commitment to personal development and dedication to crafting a positive Workplace of Choice culture
Anticipate partner needs (proactive vs. reactive)
Strong financial business acumen
Ability to understand and clearly explain financial results, underlying drivers, and added insights that lead to alignment, discussion, actions, and results
Good planning skills, proper prioritization of the work
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting collaborative relationships with Finance, Controllership, and operating business partners; regularly seeked by others as a valued consultative resource for input
Effectively coach, develop, and strengthen team members and the team as a whole; listen and learn from each other
Minimum Qualifications/ experience:
Bachelors degree in any disciple. Finance will be preferred.
Minimum 5+ years of work experience in Finance
