Math Doctor is a trusted math tutoring company, based in midtown Toronto, serving families in midtown Toronto and beyond.
We are looking to add 2 talented tutors to our team who have a passion for making a difference in young people’ lives. We are looking for professional, reliable, and energetic people who ideally live in midtown Toronto to teach the following:
- Grade 9 to 12 Science (including Chemistry, Biology, and Physics)
- Up to Grade 12 Math (including Data Management, Calculus, and Advanced Functions)
- Early Childhood Educator (specialized in grade 1 to 6 for math and language)
Our tutors are free to set their schedules, making it the perfect job for anyone looking for flexible work hours. Whether you’re an Ontario Certified Teacher, a supply teacher, a student, a teacher-in-training, or a recent university graduate, Math Doctor caters to you!
At Math Doctor, we source the customers so you don’t have to. Join the Math Doctor team and start giving in-home 1-on-1 tutorial sessions to students who live near you, of any age and level. The candidate hired into this position will be primarily expected to travel for in-home tutoring assignments, as well as teach students virtually.
Requirements:
- Ontario Certified Teacher (preferred) or University Degree in the field of Sciences, Math, English and/or French
- Previous Experience working with children and youth
- Excellent verbal and written skills in English
- Candidates must be fully vaccinated
- Experience leading students with various learning disabilities (preferred)
- Has an ability to confidently teach multiple subjects (preferred)
- Has a G2 or G driver’s license and unrestricted access to a vehicle (preferred)
This position is part-time and requires weekday availability from 4 to 6:30pm, as well as possibly on Saturdays during the day. The candidate must successfully pass a background check and also a Vulnerability Sector screening test.
