Tingley’s Harvest Center Looking for Senior Accounting Clerk at Lloydminster, AB Full Time

Tingleys Harvest Center is a multi-line agriculture and construction machinery dealership group with locations in Lloydminster, Vegreville and North Battleford.

Our Lloydminster location is currently accepting resumes for a Account Technician. This is a permanent, full-time position.

Main duties

• Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts.
• Post journal entries and reconcile accounts, prepare trial balance of books, maintain general ledgers and prepare financial statements.
• Calculate and prepare payrolls and for utility, tax and other bills
• Complete and submit tax remittance forms, workers’ compensation forms, pension contribution forms and other government documents.
• Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports.
• Prepare and review the company’s year-end entries.
• Bank reconciliations, maintain Accounts Receivable subledger, reconcile warranty transactions, calculate commissions, post bank entries, prepare month-end accruals, reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Train and mentor Accounts Payable and Payroll clerks.

Employment Requirement

• Completion of a college program in accounting, bookkeeping or a related field or completion of two years (first level) of a recognized professional accounting program or courses in accounting or bookkeeping combined with several years of experience as a financial or accounting clerk are required.
• Accounting Technician Certificate plus a minimum of 3 years of experience required.

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Lloydminster, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)

Experience:

• Bookkeeping: 5 years (preferred)
• Accounting: 3 years (preferred)
• Finance department: 5 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Accounting Technician Certificate (preferred)
