We are hiring to build a robust Talent and Development team to support our bakeries and Team Members.
Our bakery team is the heart of our company and plays an important role in keeping North America’s food supply going. Our Sanitation workers ensure adherence to the highest cleanliness standards at our facilities. They work hand in hand with our production team to ensure all equipment is routinely sanitized, facilities are maintained, and all products are produced in the most sanitary conditions.
Key responsibilities:
Maintain cleanliness of facility through dry and wet cleaning Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) and janitorial tasks
Respond to any equipment breakdowns by providing sanitation support through the cleaning of major spills, ingredient(s), and/or equipment itself
Providing production support in response to production demands
Taking apart equipment for cleaning – must be able to lift weights of up to 50 lbs. Familiarity with production equipment is an asset
Scrape down and wash all equipment as applicable – must be comfortable using a ladder, working at heights, handling chemicals and adhering to SSOPs
Using compressed air to blow particles from equipment
Collect all garbage and waste; empty all waste containers – must be able to stand for up to 8 hours at a time
Use of EAM to schedule and close WOs
Updating and reviewing of SSOPs on a regular basis and as-needed with the Sanitation supervisor/manager
Familiarity with a Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) and regular reviewing the MSS with the Sanitation Supervisor/Manager
Coordinating of Sanitation team members to ensure that tasks are completed in a safe and acceptable manner
Training sanitation team members on SSOPs and daily/weekly/monthly/janitorial tasks
Working with Sanitation supervisor/manager to maintain an inventory of sanitation items
Any other duties as assigned by direct supervisor/manager
To be successful as a Sanitation Lead Hand, you will
Be a lover of bread and baked goods!
Have previous experience in a manufacturing environment (even better if it was food manufacturing)
Have previous experience in sanitation (even better if it is industrial sanitation)
You are comfortable working with sanitizing agents and chemicals
You’ve got really strong attention to detail and are able to meet cleanliness standards set by the company
Like working in a fast-paced environment, be self-reliant, and be energized by opportunities to learn and grow, and be a steward of your own career

Hours: Night Shift: 11:00pm – 7:00am, Friday – Saturday (40 hours)
Staring wage: $19.50/hour + $1.00 (night shift premium)
