NELSON AGGREGATES IS A MINING COMPANY involved in the extraction and manufacturing of aggregate materials for the construction industry.

We are searching for an energetic and ambitious individual for the Seasonal/fulltime position of Loader Operator at our Uhthoff Orillia location.

KEY ACTIVITES

• Key Activities include but are not limited to: Loading on-highway and off highway production trucks, casting, and blending material, load out yard maintenance, haul road maintenance, sample pad preparation for QC sampling, proper use of onboard scale systems, loader maintenance & care, and pre-shift inspection documentation
• Must be able to work Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays
• Willing and flexible to work overtime as required
• Must be safety conscious with a pleasant customer service orientated attitude while working in a busy, fast paced environment with tight deadlines

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE

• Surface Miner Required, work experience- (minimum 2 years) related to safe and competent operation of production or shipping wheel loaders. (ex. Caterpillar 980 size or larger)
• Mechanical background
• Communication skills are required verbally and in writing

PHYSICAL SKILL

• There is a need to walk, bend, lift and reach when performing duties
• This position requires sitting for long periods
• Exposure to constant radio noise
• Exposure to environmental elements
• Dexterity and eye-hand coordination are required
