Primary Key Job Responsibilities:
· Add value and improve our operations by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.
· Perform site audits for various locations that are part of the Bill 198 (similar to SOX 404) In-scope site listing for CCL and its’ subsidiaries in Canada and the USA and potentially other international locations as required in accordance with the Bill 198 documentation.
· Review and analyze site financial results in preparation for conducting site visits
· Ability to appropriately gauge the impact (financial and/or operational) of findings
· Diagnoses of the root cause through consultation with relevant individuals, and accurate collection of all facts to be summarized and reported to various levels of management
· Ability to provide recommended action plans to assist sites in remediation of audit concerns and issues in a manner that is professional and value added to the organization
· Review of quarterly site submissions pertaining to the Bill 198 control matrices to ensure accuracy, clarification of any issues and provide assistance to sites regarding any remediation issues
· Ability to perform required audits within planned timeframes utilizing the appropriate level of detail required to perform the review
· Critically assess risk factors across multiple components in the development of the annual audit plan
· Lead a team of 1 other individual including coaching, mentorship and guidance
· Ability to work independently and effectively
· Ad hoc financial analysis and investigation as required
Communication Skills:
· Very good written and verbal communication skills in English
Computer Skills:
· Excellent computer skills in Excel and Word
· Ability to create pivot tables in Excel would be an asset
· Experience with Hyperion software package would be an asset
Travel:
· Ability to travel approximately 35% to 50 % of the time within Canada and the USA with the potential as well for Mexico
Educational Requirements:
· Post secondary education in finance and accounting
· Certified Public Accountant
· Prior audit experience
· Bill 198 / SOX 404 knowledge and experience preferred
Other Requirements:
· Ability to be sensitive to the corporate culture and structure
· Ability to be adaptable when dealing with different management styles and cultures
· High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
