Reporting to the Manager or Project Manager, OP&L, the Project Coordinator is responsible for analyzing, interpreting, and reporting on legislative changes that directly affect official plans, the municipal comprehensive review, and other policy related processes, including the Community Benefits Charge and legacy Section 37 contributions. The Council adopted responses to Bill 23 (Item CC1.2) and Bill 109 (Item PH33.11) outline a number of the City’s concerns. The Project Coordinator will assist in preparing responses on any future legislative changes and play a role in operationalizing those changes that are currently in place.
Reporting to the Manager, BP&S, the Project Coordinator is responsible for improving City Planning’s service delivery through strengthening business processes and technology. The Project Coordinator will work closely with City Planning staff and interdivisional partners to develop consistent, standardized business practices, and implement changes to City Planning’s procedures reflecting changing legislation, policy, and a new operating model for the development review process.
