With a long tradition of technological innovation and marking its 100-year anniversary in 2021, the FVREB is looking to augment its technology team with an experienced and exceptionally motivated QA Engineer, with sufficient exposure to most of the technologies we currently use and ready to bring themselves quickly up to speed on the few ones that may require a tad more experience.

The IDEAL Candidate:

Right now, we are looking for an experienced QA Engineer to join our Development team and help streamline and automate our QA process, with an aim of improving the quality of our releases. After spending years learning your way around JavaScript/HTML and C# with .NET Core and developing a strong understanding of a browser Document Object Model (DOM), you have fully embraced Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and Selenium based automated testing and are fully ready to act as subject matter expert on Quality Assurance and own the QA function. Ideally, you also have excellent documentation skills in well written English, a knack for finding issues and scrutinizing web applications, and a good understanding of how native cloud applications are architected and deployed. It goes without saying that you’re a great team player, enjoy taking feedback, and work well collaboratively.

What You’ll Do:

• Working closely with the Software Architect, Business Analyst, and the Product team, be responsible for testing of all in-house applications.
• Take ownership of the QA function.
• Create and maintain automated integration tests.
• Create and maintain use cases and test paths.
• Manually test features when/where appropriate, perform exploratory testing.
• Validate that all acceptance criteria are met.
• Ensure new features meet functional and non-functional requirements.
• Aid developers in troubleshooting bugs.
• Test development tickets.
• Perform release testing.
• Provide test plan reports to Software Architect.
• Use JIRA, Confluence, Zephyr, and Selenium as appropriate.
• Research / recommend relevant QA tools and methodologies.
• Provide support, issue investigation, and resolution for internally developed applications and integrations.

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 – 4 years of HTML/JavaScript experience; expert level.
• Minimum 2 years of C# with .NET Core experience.
• Experience with Selenium as code (Java/C# bindings).
• Strong understanding of browser DOM.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Zephyr.
• A knack for finding issues and scrutinizing web applications.
• Excellent documentation skills in well written English.
• Ability to organize use cases and test plans.
• A background in software development or development team experience.
• Experience being on an Agile Scrum/Kanban team.
• Extreme attention to detail; ability to document bugs in extreme detail.
• Ability and willingness to keep learning; commitment to continuous professional development; relentless desire for betterment.
