Rosedale Seniors’ Living is seeking Health Care Aides for day and evening shifts to provide care and service to our DAL, home-care, and independent level residents.
Permanent part-time (0.4 FTE) positions are available, day and evening.
Reporting to the LPN, the HCA provides safe, quality direct care following assigned tasks and within the HCA competencies, scope of practice, and policies and procedures of Rosedale. The HCA responds to emergency calls and initiates emergency services when directed/required. Team housekeeping for in-suite cleaning is required on a scheduled and as-needed basis.
Qualifications:
- New grads are welcome
- Completion of a recognized Health Care Aide program, with certificate through a licensed post-secondary institution
- Proof of registration with the Alberta HCA Directory required
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector dated within 6 months
- Current Emergency First Aid Training with CPR
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of the interdisciplinary team
- Physically fit with the ability to handle the physical demands of the position such as push, pull, and lift a minimum of 25–50 lbs; walk / stand for prolonged periods
- Communicate well in English verbally and in writing; demonstrate a positive attitude with good customer service skills
