Full-Stack Software Engineer JamLabs Data Science Inc. Remote or office in Toronto, ON

We have an exciting opportunity for experienced software engineers out there. JamLabs is a rapidly growing data science firm that works with large financial institutions around the world to organize, analyze and monetize their data. We create customized solutions for our clients as well as develop our own in-house products.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be building solutions to client problems in a tight-knit team.

• Design and build data solutions on GCP using BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Firestore, Dataflow, Dataplex and others.
• Create capital markets web applications using NodeJS and React.
• Support and collaborate with product and technical teams of our clients.
• Automate infrastructure creation with technologies like Terraform.
• Practice agile/Scrum process.

What You Will Need To Succeed

• 3+ years of full stack development experience.
• Expert knowledge of GCP, or another cloud provider.
• Extensive experience with SQL, a web technologies like React/Angular, REST APIs, JavaScript and Python.
• Knowledge of database design and best practices.
• Familiarity with software development best practices such as unit testing, version control (we use Git), code reviews, etc.
• Outstanding communication with internal and external team members.
• Treat building appplications like the craft it is and striving for our client’s success.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• AWS Certification
• Capital markets concepts knowledge or experience, Fixed-Income, FX, OTC derivatives are a bonus
• Worked on projects in finance or capital markets
• Experience with big data technologies and non-GCP cloud platforms

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $95,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
