About the Role

We are seeking for a Junior Accountant to join the team. Reporting to the Divisional Controller – Steelhaus Canada, the Junior Accountant will have exposure to areas such as accounts payable, accounts receivables, and inventory. This is an opportunity for a candidate who is interested in career growth with a fast growing organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

Assemble, review and verify invoices

Flag and clarify any unusual or questionable invoice items or prices

Sort, code and match invoices

Set invoices up for payment

Enter and upload invoices into system

Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues

Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries

Visa Card Reconciliations

Inventory

Monitor inventory levels, processes purchase orders as required

Maintain inventory database, assist in physical count of inventory, reconcile actual inventory to computer generated reports

Accounts Receivable

Create sales orders

Ship and release inventory for each new order

Payment application

Processing and submitting invoices to third-party portals

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Successful completion of a business diploma or degree in Accounting or Finance

Microsoft NAV/Business Central knowledge considered an asset

Excel and other Microsoft office skills

Attention to detail is required

Analytical, ability to multi-task, meet tight timelines and adapt to shifting priorities

Great interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with individuals at all levels
