OakWood specializes in innovatively designed, energy efficient residential and commercial buildings and are all about providing the highest standards of excellence for home renovation, custom new homes and building services in the Ottawa region.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We’re looking for a Residential Project Manager to join our growing in-house renovation and new homes team. You’ll work side-by-side with the Liptak family, other project managers, designers, estimators, and project consultants in an environment that fosters collaboration and creativity. We’re all problem solvers helping our clients transform their homes into functional yet beautiful living spaces. You will have the ability to steer your career with unlimited, performance-based growth.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
· Project planning and jobsite oversight, including timely identification of problems and proposal of creative solutions
· Overview of jobsite safety practices and quality control
· Effectively multi-task, following the OakWood process, and managing your time
· Liaise with other OakWood departments and team members to ensure quality and continuity at all stages of the project
· Maintain relationships with clients to ensure an outstanding customer experience that is second to none
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
· Minimum of 5 years experience in residential renovations and new home construction
· You have a thorough understanding of construction specifications within the industry
· Working knowledge of the local building codes and wood frame construction
· Strong structural knowledge
· Excellent communication skills and an ability to get your great ideas across quickly and clearly
· Can read and interpret construction drawings
· Proficient in scheduling software, Excel, Word & Outlook
· Experience working with construction trades while in a leadership role
· Someone who revels in a fast paced, dynamic environment and has a thirst to always be learning
· A team player who’s always asking, “what can I do to help?”
