Role Purpose

As the Construction Supervisor, you will manage the site construction works, liaise with stakeholders, design engineers, and manage the contractors, to execute capital projects across the Red Chris site.

We are seeking an individual for a Fly In, Fly Out opportunity working on a two weeks in, two weeks out rotation.

Accountabilities:

• Providing safety and environmental management and leadership to the projects with a strong focus on safety culture.

• Assisting the capital projects team and the owners of site projects to complete the data gathering, engineering studies and the procurement/contractor tendering needed to execute projects.

• Supporting contractors and Site Maintenance Services construction activities to complete on time, within budget, and as per technical specification.

• Delivering effective, ongoing, site-based stakeholder engagement, to facilitate cooperation and alignment through strong relationship management between third-party contractors, Red Chris Operations personnel and the Capital Project team.

• Ensuring that all permitting is completed and adhered to, including federal, provincial and regional authorities and internal Newcrest Red Chris Operations.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum 7 to 10 years experience in general or heavy industrial construction

• A certified Red Seal Journeyperson qualification in building trade and/or a technical diploma

• Experience in supervising construction projects (earthworks and structural).

• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and construction documents.

• British Columbia Mine Supervisor Certificate a definite asset.

• Work at or around a mining operation is not considered essential, however, would be an asset.

• Valid Class-5 drivers’ license.
