Responsibilities
Management
- Provide full cycle Human Resources support to our initiatives
- Maintain relationships with both internal and external clients to ensure staffing goals are achieved
- Remain current on the company’s organizational structure, personnel policy, as well as federal and provincial laws regarding employment practices
- Serve as a liaison with area employment agencies, colleges and industry associations
- Maintain management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures
- Maintain historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system (keeping past and current records)
- Act as the Benefits Administrator; liaise with benefit providers and act as point of contact for employees
Recruitment
- Source, screen, interview, and evaluate candidates
- Partner with hiring managers to determine staffing needs
- Review and understand technical job requirements
- Review applicants to verify if position requirements are met
- Administer appropriate company assessments
- Coordinate interviews with the hiring managers
- Follow up on the interview process status
- Onboarding and Off-boarding
- Perform reference and background checks
- Fill out and maintains all employee records
- Employee onboarding – provide new hires with benefits and company procedures.
- Prepare employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs.
- Conduct exit interviews on terminating employees
Requirements
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources
- 3-5 years of Human Resources experience (preference as a generalist)
- 3+ years of Technical Recruitment experience
- Comprehensive knowledge & application of all HR legislation
- CPHR an asset, provided that all qualifications above are met
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive matter of a confidential nature
- Proven experience with providing conflict resolution in professional settings
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
