Randstad Looking for Senior accountant – Toronto at Toronto, ON Full Time

This is a 6 month engagement. There are several projects with deadlines, this will require the chosen candidates to integrate into the company and understand the business quickly. The organization is also undergoing a major internal control and compliance upgrade project in which the controller will be heavily involved.

Responsibilities

• The candidate must have familiarity with full cycle accounting.
• Keeping track of business finances.
• Preparing financial statements on a monthly basis.
• Responsible for cashflow management
• Preparing working documents for year-end audits.
• Complete preparation of expenditure reports
• Prime suggestions for cost-cutting in the company.
• Internal control enhancements
• Development of accounting software.
• Additional accounting-related tasks as directed by management

Qualifications

• 5-year accounting cycle (required)
• Self-driven with a knack for entrepreneurship
• Superior precision and attention to detail
• Excellent professional judgement and problem-solving skills
• Capacity to comprehend companies that operate in various industries and the effects of loss occurrences
• Expertise in Excel and Word
• The capacity to function both independently and as a model team member
• Capacity to adhere to deadlines

Summary
Compensation: 50/hour depending on experience
Duration: 6 months
Location: Toronto – Work from home 2x a week
