Your Role
In this role you will bring your scheduling, cost, procurement and contract management expertise to contribute to the success of completing programs to your client’s requirements. Oversee the schedule and contracts to uncover gaps, keep costs in check, and ensure the cost and schedule is defined and communicated. You will help your clients forecast and provide solutions to unexpected schedule changes.
You’ll join our team of motivated project managers who lead capital public programs. Working with our local community leaders on projects to improve communities where people live, meet and connect. Be a part of the story that delivers world class facilities to future generations.

Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling, cost, contracts management for complex infrastructure or building programs and projects, varying up to 5M in size and scope.
  • You are seen as a valued and trusted team member and a subject matter expertise in project controls.
  • You have an exquisite ability to forecast a projects schedule based on information received.
  • Both external and internal clients trust you and rely on your knowledge, skills and expertise to achieve their program and project goals and objectives by providing them with critical, decision-making information to give them visibility into project outcomes that will increase the certainty of success.
  • Your clients are impressed with your ability to represent their best interests regarding monitoring and controlling program and project performance.
  • Your project teams rely on your ability to manage information, communicate and coordinate between multiple stakeholders, resolve issues, and support them in delivering projects on time and on budget.
  • You build and sustain relationships with both internal and external clients and proactively respond to business development and sales opportunities with support from the Business Development and Marketing Teams, Principal or Vice President.

Qualifications:

  • A university degree or diploma in engineering, architecture, construction management or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience.
  • Professional Engineer designation (P. Eng) or equivalent is an asset.
  • PMP designation is a definite asset and will be supported to complete.
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in project controls management, including planning/scheduling, cost management, contract management, and change management on public sector projects.
  • Extensive client facing experience in the delivery of projects.
  • Comprehensive understanding and practical skills in the development and management of Work Breakdown Structure, Cost Breakdown Structure, schedule and cost baselines, earned value analysis, risk management, and change management processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of scheduling (MS Projects).
