THE ROLE
As a Bar Supervisor, you will contribute to an excellent customer experience in the military messes operations. You will organize, supervise and schedule the day-to-day bar activities for the bar staff for big events and the everyday moments. You will build a rapport with the military community and be part of various military traditions.
The Bar Supervisor will provide administrative support to bar operations and a variety of services such as preparing and serving beverages, maintaining inventory of bar stock and ordering supplies and assisting in the set-up and take down of social and military functions. You will operate a Point of Sales system; prepare reports on cash/inventory transactions such as daily sales reports (DSR) and ensure compliance with provincial liquor legislation and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications and Licenses
High school diploma and several years of experience in beverage sector or a related field
Must be of legal age to serve alcohol (BC)
Must possess a Responsible Service of Alcohol certification (BC)
Valid Driver’s Licence (BC), an asset

OTHER INFORMATION
Junior Ranks’ Mess, Warrant Officers and Sergeants’ Mess, and the Officers’ Mess is a member’s only bar lounge for military members, veteran and their guests to gather. They hold a wide range of different events, including lunches, dinners, games night, themed events, BBQs and Official Military Dinners. In addition to military events, the building and rooms can be rented for private events and weddings.
Due to two bar locations, a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required for the position of Bar Supervisor within the Mess.
