What Will You Work On?
Reporting to the VP, Business Development, the Director, SMB Partnerships will develop and execute against a strategy focused on establishing a competitive differentiator for the AIR MILES Rewards Program (AMRP) in the Small and Medium-Sized Business space. This role requires a strategic thinker who can understand how the AMRP can leverage its data assets and digital reach to demonstrate value to potential partners. The successful candidate must have in-depth knowledge of the Canadian SMB marketplace, a deep understanding of various business models and an ability to influence decision-making across all layers of the organization
How Will You Create Impact?

Oversee the development and execution of a robust Small and Medium-Sized Business strategy aligned with the broader enterprise strategy of the AMRP.

Assess market potential and competitive landscape to elevate our competitive differentiator

In collaboration with internal stakeholders, create and deliver to the market a compelling B2C/B2B/B2E value proposition and associated narrative aligned with cementing AMRP’s position as the preferred Loyalty Program for the SMB market

Act as an agent for change, pushing the boundaries to enable SMB Partner offerings and approaches

Develop, manage, and convert a robust pipeline of SMB organizations to onboard into the AMRP’s SMB Partner ecosystem

Manage multiple client relationships for a wide variety of Partners within the Small and Medium-Sized Business category, resulting in strong partnerships and exceptional service delivery to drive AMRP objectives for SMB portfolio

Work cross-functionally with Marketing, A.I./Data Science, Technology, Finance and Legal to support overall SMB deliverables and manage partner relationships

Direct the creation of the overall SMB category account strategy including business and financial objectives and the work plan needed to meet the plan and targets

Drive the strategic roadmap and vision for SMB products, tools and services that support the priorities and objectives of the SMB Partner ecosystem

Define requirements to inform the establishment of online self-serve tools to support the SMB partner ecosystem (i.e., program management, marketing deployment, reporting & analytics)

Provide guidance and approach on the implementation and ongoing operationalization of self-serve tools to support the SMB partner ecosystem, striving to deliver stakeholder value at an accelerated pace

Represent SMB requirements in the prioritization, development, and deployment of new product initiatives within the broader existing business governance process with IT and overall business

Ensure senior level visibility to the pipeline, associated tradeoffs, and impacts

Ensure that the principles of a product driven organization are embedded within the SMB offering and that stakeholders have visibility to the approach and progress being made across the roadmap
Let’s Talk About You:

Minimum of 10+ years of directly related work experience
-
Minimum of 5+ years of Supervisory/Management experience
-
Outstanding analytical and planning capabilities
-
In depth understanding of, and experience in, the SMB market, loyalty marketing, broad sectors and planning
-
Ability to consult, advise and influence/sell at C-Suite level
-
Creatively solve business problems, innovating new approaches
-
Strong oral, written and formal presentation skills so as to communicate complex data in a simple way

That said, the doors at our Toronto office are always open to Associates who prefer an office environment or need a change of scenery.
