The Early Years Branch provides leadership to the early years’ sector. We are currently seeking a strategic, analytic, well-organized and collaborative candidate for the position of Data and Evaluation Analyst. Reporting to the Director, Sector Planning and Evaluation, the successful candidate will be part of a unit that is responsible for developing and implementing data strategies, so the branch is well-positioned to make evidence-based decisions and recommendations for the Early Years sector.
This position will also be responsible for the identification, design and implementation of program and policy evaluations. Our candidate of choice will have experience in designing program and policy evaluation research strategies (including surveys, focus groups, interviews, literature reviews) and apply appropriate statistical and analytical techniques to determine program and policy effectiveness.
An effective communicator and researcher, you will be able to understand complex challenges and provide sound data-driven advice for policy and program decision makers. Finally, your interpersonal skills will allow you to consult and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders to develop positive working relationships.

Typically, the experience and knowledge required for this position includes a master’s degree in Administration, Economics, Finance, or Human Services area as well as relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
