Baker Tilly SGB LLP Looking for Bookkeeper at Collingwood, ON Full Time

Our Collingwood office is currently seeking a Bookkeeper, reporting to the firm’s partners. Start Date: Immediate

Wage: $50,000 (Some flexibility based on the level of experience)

Responsibilities for this position include:

· Maintain the bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients, primarily using Quickbooks online as well as several other common bookkeeping software.

· Produce month-end financial statements and other reports as required by the client

· Prepare payroll runs and remittances for the client

· Prepare and file sales tax reports for the client

· Answer questions posed by the clients related to their bookkeeping

· Assist management with the onboarding of new clients to ensure seamless integration into our systems and workflow

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following:

• A college or university degree in Accounting, Finance or Business

• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or a similar finance role

• Proven technical abilities in maintaining monthly bookkeeping

• Ability to willingness to adopt new technology relevant to the bookkeeping space

• Strong working knowledge of Quickbooks online, as well as various other bookkeeping software (i.e. Quickbooks Desktop, Sage 50, Xero)

• Advanced working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

• Highly analytical and accurate, attention to detail is critical to this role

• You have a strong work ethic, and you thrive on challenges

• Strong time-management abilities and self-motivation to work independently in a high-volume work environment.

• Demonstrates the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively and efficiently

• A passion for client service

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• A willingness to continually expand one’s professional skill set, learn on the job, take on additional responsibilities as required and respond to and thrive in a dynamic work environment
