Position: Junior Accountant

Landmark Home Solutions is a province-wide industry leader in the home improvement business and has been in operation since 1987. Our Head Office is located in Stoney Creek, however we are provincially wide.

We are currently looking for a hard working, reliable, Junior Accountant to work in our Finance Department.

The ideal candidate will be a flexible team player willing to take on new tasks. We are willing to train the right candidate who is a fit for the company. Preference will be given to those who wish to pursue a CPA Designation.

Responsibilities:

· Assist with data entry and enter into Quickbooks

· Assist with reconciliations and year end calculations

· Strong ability to maintain confidentiality

· Understanding of and ability to initiate and follow through with process improvements

· Understanding of basic accounting initiatives

· Ad hoc tasks as necessary

Requirements:

· Intermediate knowledge of excel and willingness to advance skills

· Ability to navigate Microsoft Office

· Strong attention to detail

· Effective communication skills

· Excellent time management skills

· Ability to effectively problem solve independently, while recognizing when asking for assistance is necessary

· Ability to prioritize, plan and multi-task

· Capacity to work effectively as part of a team

· Experience in Quickbooks is considered an asset

• Completed or enrolled in an accounting program
• Background in accounting
