Main responsibilities:
Act as a resource person for the regional HR team, managers and employees for all first level HR and labour relations related issues for the region.
Process the following HR requests and more: labor movement, employment confirmation letter, maintenance of electronic records in the HR system, benefits updates, disabilities and escalate to shared services as necessary.
Support the full recruitment cycle for positions below the Director level.
Provide administrative support to the department at meetings and committees as needed.
Conduct exit interviews and develop talent retention tactics.
Coordinate and encourage employee participation in training sessions with external vendors and employee communications and initiatives.
Participate in the preparation of various regional communications related to recruitment, advertising, policy roll-outs, initiatives and more.
Support partners and the payroll department on compensation issues.
Create purchase orders, receive and process various payments for the Human Resources department.
Participate in the development of policies, business processes and take actions in accordance with public policy.
Support the management of employee short and long term disability claims and return to work plans.
Oversee the deployment of activity and recognition program for the region.
Raise issues and provide proactive support to the HR team in the development and implementation of tactics and strategies, corporate programs and other complex and diverse HR issues.
Conduct regional orientation and integration sessions and activities including coordination of departmental presentations.
Ensure confidentiality of sensitive employee information.
Support compliance with food safety and quality standards as required.
Requirements:
Post secondary education in human resources or labour relations
0 – 2 years experience in a similar human resources role
CHRP designation obtained or in process of obtaining is preferred
Fluency in French and English
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, autonomy, priority management, attention to detail, provide exemplary customer service and be solution oriented
Experience in recruitment, payroll management preferred
Knowledge of MS Office software
Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills
