SITE SUPERINTENDENT RESPONSIBILITIES
MULTI-FAMILY PROJECTS
Site superintendent has the following responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day field activities
- Plan, schedule, organize, direct and control construction site activities from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget
- Monitor project progress and schedule and prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress reports to Project Manager and upload to relevant management software or cloud storage as may be directed
- Supervise the activities of subcontractors and subordinate staff
- Conduct employee orientations and safety meetings
- Collaborate with engineers, subcontractors, etc. to determine project needs
- Set performance goals and deadlines
- Implement safety and quality guidelines
- Ensure Covid-19 protocols are in place and maintain relevant personnel logs daily
- Plan for and schedule inspections by local authorities, engineers and others as may be required by the project.
- Obtain inspection results and ensure deficiencies are completed and re- inspections are conducted.
- Order the appropriate equipment as required for Site activities and arrange for regular maintenance
- Keep track of material stock and orders
- Ensure the job site remains secure, safe, clean, and orderly
- Attend to and resolve on-site issues and emergencies
- Co-ordinate as required with Project Manager, Project Coordinator, Site
Staff, Consultants, Local Authorities, Suppliers and Trade Contractors
- Ensure site office is well maintained in a safe, clean and organized manner and all latest Project plans, updates, site instructions, inspection results, worksafebc orders and any other relevant documents are kept on hand in hard copy version at all times
