Stretch Construction is looking to hire a Carpenter Assistant/Helper to work closely with our Operations team on a large ongoing project in Kelowna.
Roles and responsibilities include:
- Assist in a variety of tasks that will focus on carpentry that require form and execution;
- Be mechanically inclined
- Be proficient with trade tools and materials necessary to the job
- Come with full PPE (steel toed boots, High vis vest, hard hat, gloves, safety eyewear)
- Be available to work Monday – Friday with occasional Saturdays
- Have reliable vehicle/transportation
- Be dependable & consistent – show up on time & ready to work, be a hardworking & driven individual with a desire to continue learning
- Have the ability to work independently with attention to detailed instructions, or as part of a team with great work ethic
- Hold a concern for safety & familiarity of construction site safety protocol
- Show a positive attitude to complement our team
Qualifications and Experience:
Required:
- Ideally possess 1-2 years of experience functioning in the construction industry
Preferred:
- First Aid level 2; (Preferred)
- Have a forklift ticket (not required but considered an asset)
Salary: Negotiable based on experience
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
