OVERVIEW

Vertex is currently accepting applications for one full-time, permanent Benefits Administrator. The successful candidate must have a minimum two years of previous benefits administration experience and will work closely with members of the Human Resources team to ensure accurate and timely process of all benefits related duties.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

• 2 plus years of benefits administration experience
• Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, including PowerPoint; experience with HRIS and benefits databases
• Effective planning and priority setting. Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical skills and a thorough ability to learn and interpret of plan designs
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Knowledge of benefits contract language
• Excellent communication and organization skills

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Administers Vertex’s benefits program
• Main contract and knowledge base of all benefits choices offered by the company
• Process benefits forms, enter information and changes
• Assist employees with claims, laves, overage changes, form completion and questions
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality
• Create positive relationships with employees, management and benefits provider
• Collaborate with payroll to ensure billing and deductions are accurate
• Review benefits programs particularly after mergers and acquisitions
• Keep meticulous records on each employee
• Stay up-to-date on changing policies and regulations

• This position will be based out of Sherwood Park, AB
