Working under the Programmer, Community Recreation’s direction, the Environmental Education Camp Coordinator will prepare, design, promote, and lead several environmental education initiatives and community engagement programs. This individual will primarily facilitate several Earth Leadership summer day camps while supporting and training camp leaders to develop environmental awareness and literacy that will allow them to successfully implement camp programming. The role requires a highly motivated individual who demonstrates a commitment to environmental education, has demonstrated ability to work with youth, and can work independently as well as within a team. In this role, you will offer engaging and educational environmental youth programming, connect with community partners, communicate with parents/caregivers/guardians, and be prepared to handle emergencies. The Camp Coordinator will be the main contact for summer camp inquiries from participants, parents and members of the public. This role will also include public engagement and promotion of the camp programs, consultation with local experts and other partners, coordination with community organizations and other related duties.

Salary: $15.00-$15.50 per hour
