Sybridge Technologies Looking for Cost Analyst at Lakeshore, ON Full Time

JOB TITLE: COST ANALYST

REPORTS TO: CONTROLLER, CORPORATE

JOB FUNCTION:

In support of the mission, vision and values of SyBridge Technologies Inc., the Cost Analyst is responsible for collecting and analyzing financial information related to the organizations expenses, seeking ways to improve accuracy of budgets and forecasts, and to decrease the cost of assigned departments and projects. Reporting to the Controller, Corporate the Cost Analyst ensures the goals and metrics of the department are met.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyzes expenses and cost transactions; ensures that transactions are recorded accurately and assigned to the appropriate projects and departments.
• Provides detailed financial analysis and reports of expenses, includes breakdowns of project costs, forecasts of remaining expenses, and opportunities to increase efficiency.
• Conducts market research as needed to recommend changes to pricing or business models.
• Prepares periodic cost reconciliation reports tracking data such as changing labor and supply costs.
• Performs other related duties, as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION

• Certification, diploma, or College Degree or Equivalent Experience in Accounting or Finance

EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE

• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Excellent analytical skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Thorough understanding of cost accounting principles and procedures
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with mold design and estimating procedures and standard costing

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software as well as accounting software.
• Exposure to ERP systems
