WHO IS PLAN A?
Plan A Powered by Staff Stat is a staffing solutions company. We partner with long term care facilities in our area, to ensure that they have safe staffing levels to look after their residents. We provide staffing support with health care professionals for all shift types and have facilities that we support in the following areas:

WHAT DO WE PAY OUR STAFF?
Our HCA are paid a fantastic wage of $22 per hour, with extra incentives available as well! Our staff are paid bi-weekly via direct deposit, and all hours are tracked through our customized shift filling app, Staff Stat. You will be a employee of Plan A, so tax will be deducted for you from your paychecks! We also have overtime hours available, as well as travelling incentives of mileage, meal allowances and accommodations – depending on the distance that you are willing to travel!
WHAT DOES THE TRAVEL INCENTIVES LOOK LIKE?
Travelling to a location that is 75 km one way from your location, you will be eligible for:
35 cents per km for mileage compensation. That’s $26.25 one way travelling 75km!
$50 per day meal allowance – $250 per week for full time, based on 5 shifts per week!
Accommodation provided – a hotel near to the facility, at no cost to yourself! When you arrive, everything will be booked and paid for, so all you will need to do is give your name at check in.
WHAT DOES WORKING FOR PLAN A LOOK LIKE?
During the interview process, we will look at what you are available for. How many shifts per week, what type of shift (days, evenings, nights, all) and how far you are willing to travel. We will then match your availability to the needs of our facilities, and set you up at the facility (or facilities) that you are able to support.
HOW WILL I BE SCHEDULED?
Our facilities staff in one of two ways, so depending on the location best suited to you:
You will be given access to our app where the facility will post all of the available shifts. You will select the shifts that suit you best, and book yourself in to those shifts via the app. This is great for those looking for flexibility to fit around child care, other employers etc!
You may also look at being scheduled for shifts, where facilities will give you a booking for two, three or four weeks, so you have the stability of knowing what shifts you have booked ahead of time. This is great for those who are available for regular and consistent shifts!
IS THEIR OVERTIME HOURS AVAILABLE?
Yes! We do offer overtime after 44 hours of regular paid hours. We also do have part time and full time hours available!
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?
ESSENTIAL –
Must have a HCA certificate
Must have a valid HCA number that is within good standing
Must be eligible to work in Canada
3-5 references with 2-3 being from a supervisor
Proof of TB 1 step, or chest x ray from within past 5 years
Vulnerable Sector Check from within past 6 months
