Our vision care company is seeking an Optician to join our fast-paced team. The successful candidate for this position will assist customers with selecting the proper lenses and frames, and will help provide professional eye care services.
Responsibilities:
- Calculate eyeglass prescriptions.
- Order and stock lenses and frames.
- Make sure eyeglasses are clean and in good condition when returned.
- Put glasses in cases for shipping.
- Use equipment to measure fields of vision.
- Manipulate lenses using a variety of machines.
- Align frames using precision tools.
- Write prescriptions for eyeglasses:.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Internship / Co-op
Contract length: 60 months
Part-time hours: 36 per week
Salary: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Kitchener, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
