Student, Full Stack Developer

The Opportunity

This role will work on the data integration team as a junior (entry level) Full Stack Developer to assist the Data Integration team in data development solutions, building test cases, and the development of documentation.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Develop efficient and readable/sustainable code following coding Alberta Energy Regulatory (AER) best practices and standards, and DevOps practices.

• Develop Unit Test.

• Compile timely, comprehensive, and accurate documentation as requested by project teams.

• Assist with application support task as required.

Qualifications:

• Completed 2+ years of a degree/diploma in computer science or related field

• Strong set of programming, experience using 1 or more programming languages in AER Technical Architecture stack such as JavaScript, Nodejs, NoSQL databases, Nodejs, RESTful APIs , JSON, KAFKA, REDIS, React, GraphQL

• Ability to learn new programming languages and technologies

• Strong communication skills

• Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude

• Ability to quickly adapt to a changing environment

Additional Requirements and Information:

• This position is a full-time Co-op student position which is expected to last approximately 8 months

• Proof of enrollment in a registered institution and returning to studies following this placement will be a condition of hire

• All applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada at the time of application
