Our company is looking for a Yard/Office Assistant to be responsible for handling clerical tasks in our office and helping in yard and field . You will be handling incoming emails and calls and managing files, updating paperwork and other documents, and performing other general office clerk duties and errands. You should have strong sales and customer service skills to suceed in this position. You will also help in the yard also with starting trucks, checking fluids doing inventories and dropping supplies or staff to sites etc as needed. Experience working with a moving or delivery company is an asset. Must have great phone skills and be able to book jobs. Should be able to speak/write clear English. Proper grammar over the phone and emails is very important. Your tasks would be to run the daily calls and paperwork duties and fill reports and payroll. Dispatch trucks and crews when needed. Make sure trucks are up to date on all paperwork inspections maintenance etc. This position is for someone who really enjoys interacting with customers over the phone and knows how to book the job. Long term position for the right person year-round. Someone with strong sales skills is a big bonus. Can provide Ft work if you are a good candidate with a great company with lots of room for advancement and long term permanent work.
It will be a hourly plus bonus pay structure.
Year-round work we are open 24-7 but this is a 8-5 position. In order for you to be selected as a candidate, you will need the ability to write clearly and be proficient with word and excel processing applications. A pleasing personality with strong communication skills is also highly valued. Class 5 license and vehicle also required. Experience driving a 5 ton truck is aa big plus and highly helpful with this position.
