PRIMARY EMPLOYMENT OBJECTIVES
The Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible to record, process and verify vendor invoices on a daily basis. As a member of the accounting team, she/he will also be responsible for various balance sheet reconciliations.
SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage priorities in a structured and efficient way
Validate, code, compile and enter supplier invoices into the system
Obtain all required approvals prior to processing invoices
Match invoices to receipts and purchase order, when applicable
Investigate and resolve discrepancies
Provide weekly reporting on scheduled payments
Process payments and issue checks
Manage prepayments and ensure timely follow-up and analysis
Carry out reconciliation of suppliers’ statements of account and check their credits
Respond to various requests from internal stakeholders and suppliers
Reconcile various Balance Sheet accounts
Process and record credit cards transactions
Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
College degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3-5 years relevant experience
Attention to detail required
Excellent time management and planning skills
Ability to multi-task and work with a high sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment
Must possess strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to work in a collaborative team environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs: Excel, Word, and Outlook
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality of all aspects of job responsibilities
Energetic, passionate and positive can-do attitude a must
