Job Description
NVA is looking for a Technology Specialist, Business Operations to support the rapidly growing General Practice organization in Canada. Under the direction of the Senior Manager, Integration and Operational Effectiveness, the Technology Specialist will be responsible for identifying and developing systems and processes to support the Canadian GP Operations. In addition, the Technology Specialist, Business Operations will optimize various aspects of Canadian operations including administration/coordination, reporting, planning and analysis for our rapidly growing business. This role is a great opportunity for a driven and ambitious individual as there is the real opportunity to expand the scope of the role over time.
This role is fast paced, high impact and will drive process efficiency and service excellence by being responsible for multiple cross-functional streams of work, identification and resolution of operational challenges and mitigation of risks where they pose a significant risk to success. You will touch all aspects of the business in this role providing in-depth exposure to key functions in the team allowing deep insight to make process improvement recommendations.
Responsibilities
- As a subject-matter expert, serve as key contributor to the development of NVA Canada’s business operating systems and processes, with responsibility for defining efficient workflows and specifications to meet current and future organizational needs.
- Drive and execute key activities within the operational software systems by collaborating with both internal and external cross-functional stakeholders including Legal, Accounting, Finance, and People and Talent Services to streamline internal processes, incorporating automation wherever possible and fostering efficiency, consistency, and integrity of process outputs.
- Identify, source and modify technological tools to optimize the efficiency of the business and processes
- Source and stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies/products to optimize automation, pipeline management and streamline workflows
- Partner with internal teams (Canada and US) to leverage decades of best practices for adoption in Canada
- Ensure that communication and information sharing between all key stakeholders is timely and high quality
- Develop, own, and execute various ‘playbooks’ for transactional and operational processes to ensure minimal business disruption
- Establish, own and evaluate performance metrics against the defined critical success factors and act to correct any opportunities for improvement for future projects and implementation
- Work on ad-hoc projects to support Canadian GP Operations – including but not limited to building, analyzing and implementing business cases for investment in capital projects
- Assist operations leadership with process definitions, process documentation, execution & operational issue analysis
- Support across the department with transactional tasks during high volume periods
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Commerce, or Information Systems required
- 3+ years of experience in Operations
- Strong project management experience
- Experience with enterprise technology solutions, including Salesforce, ServiceNow, Oracle, and Power BI, is an asset
- Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills
- Comfort dealing with ambiguity
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical capabilities
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
